Thanks to everyone who played in the Mixed Winter League this year. We had a total of 15 pairs in three divisions. Not all matches were completed, but most were, and all pairs have been re-allocated into three divisions following the first round of matchers.
The format is as before – all pairs in each division play each other once over a two to three month period. Matches consist of two sets, with a championship tiebreak (first to 10, by 2 clear points) in the event of the sets being tied. Please keep a record of your scores and it is up to the winners to notify Andy Carter of the results as soon as each match has been completed. Matches can be played at any time, but note the courts are used for social tennis on Monday-Thursday evenings and this has priority, although once the light evenings return there should be courts free. Friday evenings may be used, but please contact Andy Carter in advance if you need to arrange for the lights to be put on.
The second round of matches should be completed by end of May 2017. Two points are awarded for a win, and one for playing a match (match winners therefore get three points); and we will announce the results of the second round in June.
So please notify Andy Carter of all results at – firstname.lastname@example.org, or by text to 07813 006817.
